GENERAL INFORMATION
Pleader has its name from a song from Alt-J and was my very first aquascape started in November 2017. Considering this fact I can ignore all the little failures I made back in 2017. This whole setup is kind of wonder. My family transported the stand and the ADA 90P tank across Germany. I bought it 2nd hand from Biconeo Aquascaping and I am still grateful to Oleg Foth, who made me a very fair price for this combination. I had to save some money and choose a cheaper light. I started the tank with dry start method and I am glad that I did because planting a big HCC carpet like this and the possibility that a lot of plants float up can be very demotivating. Everything went really well and the scape even won the first prize for the best aquarium in the German Facebook Group Aquascaping Deutschland in January 2018. This was so motivating that I started Distraction & Angels Feathers a bit later and … the rest is history 🙂 I had tons of trouble with this tank but was able to manage it with help I found online. Pleader was shut down when we moved to our new flat in April 2018. Still missing this great layout.
HARDSCAPE
Finding big main stones is really hard in Berlin. The only local vendor that provides quite a good choice has a small shop that does not have space for tons of rocks. Took me about two months and also two online orders to find these beautiful stones. It’s all Seiryu Ryuoh or Mini Landscape Rocks. The substrate is JBL Volcano with ADA Aquasoil Amazonia. The cosmetic sand is ADA La Plata.
